Workshop Overview

Our two-day training workshop Advanced Influencing looks at influence as a skill that can be developed and sharpened. This Workplace Influencing training empowers participants to skilfully take the lead in influencing conversations. They will learn about the key sources of influence, strategies for preparing for and leading conversations, and how to build and manage relationships of influence.

We shift participants’ mindset from sales-pitching to thoughtful persuasive communication and effective relationship management. Through tools and practice, we help participants employ effective and ethical strategies of persuasion, use stakeholder and network analysis to plan and sequence their communications, and build lasting professional relationships.

 Our Workplace Influencing courses will enable your team or organisation to:

  1. Move beyond simply ‘arguing a case’ to a more constructive, value-driven approach.
  2. Respond more effectively to resistance and objections.
  3. Structure influencing conversations in a way that is both concise and compelling.
  4. Build confidence to initiate and manage influencing conversations.
  5. Tailor their approach to the people they’re seeking to influence.
  6. Identify and map the key stakeholders who could help or hinder their ideas or initiatives.
  7. Develop a comprehensive, tailored strategic plan for approaching multiple stakeholders.
  8. Develop a proactive strategy for building long-term relationships of influence.
  9. Listen and speak interactively
  10. Structure and execute a multi-party influencing process.

To enhance the implementation of the skills learned, CMA Workplace Influencing program include the following:
