Giving Effective Feedback

Why Choose CMA’s Workshop?

Our one-day Giving Effective Feedback program examines feedback beyond routine performance appraisals. This workshop empowers you to understand the three different types of feedback you should be giving, and strategies for delivering them effectively.

We shift participants from viewing feedback as evaluation to understanding and practising feedback as regular appreciation, thoughtful coaching, and data-driven evaluation. The result is less, ‘performance management’ and higher functioning teams.

This workshop will enable you to:

  • Understand the different types and purposes of feedback, beyond formal performance reviews.
  • Use a structured process to prepare for feedback and coaching conversations.
  • Respond constructively in the face of strong emotions like anger, frustration or disappointment, or when the other person shuts down.
  • Learn to conduct feedback conversations that they look forward to because they are constructive, productive conversations that benefit everyone involved.

To enhance the implementation of the skills learned, CMA workshops include the following:

  • A pre-workshop survey.
  • Planning templates.
  • Post-workshop commitment sheets to remind of their learning.
  • Fortnightly emails to remind participants of the theory.
  • Access to CMA’s Alumni website.
  • 12-month access to CMA’s e-coaching hotline.
